PS5: THE REVEAL

Sony showcased a first look at the upcoming console, including several new games coming to the PlayStation 5 with many of PlayStation’s in-house studios taking to the stage.

Playstation 5 revealed the hardware; a dual-tone sleek monochrome colour scheme. With a stand-up tower design with sharp chassis panels, curvy edges finished with a futuristic blue glow accent feature. Alongside the standalone console, there is also the option to grab a digital-only version of the console, this version lacks a disc slot (much like the digital Xbox One S), exact differences in weight and dimensions are not yet confirmed.
With an HD Camera Pulse 3D headset and media remote come with both editions, however, no price point has been confirmed, the console is expected to arrive towards the end of 2020.

“At launch, we will offer two options: a PlayStation®5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PlayStation®5 Digital Edition without a disc drive. The PS5 gameplay experience will be the same, so the choice is all yours. While there are some slight differences in the look of each model, for the overall design, we wanted to deliver a console that’s bold, stunning, and unlike any previous generation of PlayStation. ” – PlayStation.
