How to Wear a Non-Medical Face Mask:
Step one: Before touching the face mask, wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and warm water. You can use hand sanitizer, with a minimum of 60% alcohol base.
Step two: Make sure hair is tucked away from your face.
Step three: Place the mask over your face, covering your mouth and nose, put the loops behind your ears. Adjust if you need too. Ensure nose and mouth are full covered.
Step four: Make sure you avoid touching your face whilst wearing the mask, if you do touch the mask, immediately wash your hands, refer to step one.
How to Remove a Non-Medical Face Mask:
Step one: Before removing the face mask, wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and warm water. You can use hand sanitizer, with a minimum of 60% alcohol base.
Step two: Start removing the face mask, one loop at a time from behind your ears.
Step three: Do not touch the front of the face mask when you are removing it.
Step four: Place the face mask somewhere secure if you are not home, a plastic bag should do the trick. If you are not planning on using the mask again, place directly into the bin.
Step five: If you are home and planning to reuse the face mask, before re-wearing, wash the mask. Machine wash the mask on a gentle cold cycle and leave to dry on a radiator.
Step six: After you have finished removing and disposing or washing the face mask, wash your hands, refer to step one.
