Okay, so we can all agree that 2020 has been pretty crazy this year to say the least. Of course you’ve heard about the Hype House in LA – so we’ve put together a little ‘get to know, if you don’t already’ edit to brush up on your knowledge.
What is the point of the Hype House you might say? Well the basis is to collaborate on videos for social media platforms, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, as well as personal brands – which we can all agree is working well already with the collective itself having over 17.3Million followers as of right now.
Founded in December 2019 by then 17-year-old TikTok star Chase Hudson (@LilHuddy) and 21-year-old YouTube Star Thomas Petrou. Based in Los Angeles, USA, the rental mansion is located in a wealthy gated community, boasting a huge indoor and outdoor space and giant pool – the perfect setting for TikTok’s, are we right.
The New York Times reports, that members must require prior approval and anything you break, you must replace, with the top rule being creating content is a must, every single day. Petrou stated to the news paper and said: “If someone slips up constantly, they’ll not be a part of this team anymore. You can’t come and stay with us for a week and not make any videos, it’s not going to work. This whole house is designed for productivity. If you want to party, there’s hundreds of houses that throw parties in L.A. every weekend. We don’t want to be that. It’s not in line with anyone in this house’s brand. This house is about creating something big, and you can’t do that if you’re going out on the weekends.”
We’re still waiting on our invite to join the house, wbu?
